Subject: Customer Service Concern – AutoZone Store at 601 E Dimond Blvd

Good morning,

I recently visited the AutoZone store located at 601 E Dimond Boulevard in Anchorage to purchase a rear side directional light for my car. I needed to replace it because the previous bulb had burned out.

An employee, a gentleman with a beard, assisted me with the purchase. After completing the transaction, I attempted to ask if he could take a quick look at my car, as the old bulb was stuck and I was struggling to remove it. However, before I could finish my question, he abruptly responded with a sharp “No.”

I fully understand that assisting with installation is not his obligation, but I believe a more empathetic and courteous approach would have made a difference. His response came across as dismissive and unfriendly, which left me with a negative impression of the customer service at this location.

Following this experience, I visited the O’Reilly Auto Parts store, where I explained the same issue. Despite not having purchased the bulb from them, the employee there kindly took a moment to assist me. The contrast in customer service was striking.

I want to believe that the AutoZone employee was simply having a bad day and that this is not reflective of the store’s usual level of service. However, I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hopes that customer interactions can be improved.
